Department and company
You will be part of Kvik’s Category Management team which consist of 10 dedicated employees, who all share the same passion for Danish Design. Category Management is a central part of the Kvik organization, with many touchpoints and stakeholders both internally and external. They have a challenger mindset, the strongest and most international franchise concept in the business, and the mission is clear; to provide Danish Design Kitchen, Bathroom, and Wardrobe at surprisingly low prices.

The Category Management team owns the full product development process from idea/design to implementation in stores. They constantly manage categories and maintain current assortment. To ensure successful launches this process follows a 6 step Stage Gate model.

At Kvik they want to accelerate the growth even further, for them “the sky is the limit”. The ambitions are to continue to take market shares, and to rapidly pass 2,5 billion DKK in turnover. In Category Management they will support this journey by strengthening the core category; Kitchen, and further develop Bath, Wardrobe, and add new categories, fit to be sold through the fast-growing store network, and on future e-commerce platform.

The position as Senior Product Manager
You will be responsible to develop, grow, and maintain the main category, Kitchen, working with design, concept development, defining ranges and category management within kitchen, and subcategories within kitchen. You will be a key player in developing the business and will get a unique chance to impact sales performance, and further profile Kvik as Danish Design in all 11 markets.

Your overall goal is successful product launch´s, and high category performance.

Tasks include:

  • Lead the design process with external designers and internal design colleagues
  • You conceptualize your ideas to maximize sales potential
  • You develop own business cases and track product performance after launch
  • You work closely with purchasing team balancing choice of suppliers, MOQ’s and prices and with project managers contributing to the Stage Gate model
  • You create a solid brief for marketing, with perfect content and increased traffic to stores, as a result

Your workplace will be at Kvik’s headquater in Vildbjerg. Reference is to the Category Management Director.

Your profile
We are looking for a candidate with minimum 5 years’ experience from similar position preferable within kitchen or furniture. Today you might possess a position as product manager, category manager or strategic purchaser. Our focus is to find a candidate who embraces the field between category management and design, seeing the product innovation process in a holistic way.

Further expectations:

  • You are good with numbers and value data insights
  • You have an interest for Danish Design
  • You know how to turn trends and changes in consumer behavior, into successful products
  • You have a solid track record of having created growth and successful product launches
  • You have an eye for what will sell, and what the price point should be for a given product
  • You are competitive, KPI driven and want your categories to win
  • You value good corporation and team spirit
  • You are ready to travel up to 30 days pr year, mainly in Europe.
